As a Senior Unreal Programmer you will have a desire to focus and specialise your technical skills further, working with our teams to reach your next career step as a Principal or Lead. You will engage fully with our engineering processes, participate in code reviews, and support the team in building scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a highly experienced team on all areas of the game, both client and server.
  • Contribute to coding, debugging, and performance optimisation – leading from the front when challenges arise.
  • Work with our team to develop features that address, enhance and achieve the objectives of the game.
  • Deliver and own the technical design and implementation of large-scale features.
  • Play a key role in bug fixing and helping the team to deliver milestones.
  • Take an active role in the mentoring and development of junior staff.
  • Promote and uphold studio standards for code quality, architecture, and documentation.
  • Be capable of working autonomously, gathering your own requirements and creating your own solutions.
  • Be capable of learning a new language or technology without guidance.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and grow professionally.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years' industry experience.
  • Several years' C++ experience.
  • Deep understanding of Unreal and/or Unity engines.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, technical design, and debugging techniques.
  • Excellent communication, mentorship, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience shipping games on various consoles, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Switch.
  • Proven debugging and critical analysis skills.
  • Proven ability working in a team.
  • Experience with cloud services such as PlayFab and GameSparks.
  • Experience with modern console development.
