As a Senior Unity Programmer you will have a desire to focus and specialise your technical skills further, working with our teams to reach your next career step as a Principal or Lead.
You will engage fully with our engineering processes, participate in code reviews, and support the team in building scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a highly experienced team on all areas of the game, both client and server.
- Contribute to coding, debugging, and performance optimisation β leading from the front when challenges arise.
- Work with our team to develop features that address, enhance and achieve the objectives of the game.
- Deliver and own the technical design and implementation of large-scale features.
- Play a key role in bug fixing and helping the team to deliver milestones.
- Take an active role in the mentoring and development of junior staff.
- Promote and uphold studio standards for code quality, architecture, and documentation.
- Be capable of working autonomously, gathering your own requirements and creating your own solutions.
- Be capable of learning a new language or technology without guidance.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and grow professionally.
- Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years' industry experience.
- Several years' C# experience.
- Deep understanding of Unity and also perhaps Unreal / Proprietary engines.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, technical design, and debugging techniques.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience shipping games on various consoles, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Switch.
- Proven debugging and critical analysis skills.
- Proven ability working in a team.
- Experience with cloud services such as Play Fab and Game Sparks.
- Experience with modern console development.
