This post is based in E3G’s London office and will support the design, build and iteration of a suite of interim business tools within E3G’s Microsoft 365 estate. Working as part of a small agile delivery team, the role will help deliver new internal finance and resource management tools that improve visibility of resource allocation, cash flow and pipeline performance for senior stakeholders.
Role Overview
This is a mid‑to‑senior individual contributor role and the primary build resource for a new suite of internal finance and resource management tools. The post‑holder will be the only Power Platform and Power BI resource on the team, working directly with business stakeholders who own the product vision and brief. The role requires someone who can operate independently, translate executive‑level needs into practical designs, and make sound architectural decisions without senior technical oversight. The developer will work on a 2‑week sprint cadence as part of the wider Transformation Programme supporting organisational transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interim tools within E3G’s Microsoft 365 estate using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists and, where appropriate, Dataverse.
- Build robust Power BI models and reports that provide consolidated insight on resource allocation, cash flow and pipeline performance.
- Work with the Product Delivery Manager and Data Steward to convert user stories into working solutions, embed data quality checks, and support user adoption and technical handover.
About You
You are a pragmatic, self‑directed developer who is comfortable operating as the sole technical build resource within a small agile team. You can translate stakeholder needs into practical technical solutions, explain trade‑offs clearly, and work confidently with non‑technical colleagues across finance, operations and programme delivery. You are collaborative, quality‑conscious and comfortable working with ambiguity while building interim solutions as longer‑term platform decisions are made.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ demonstrable Power Platform development experience, including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Strong experience in data modelling, DAX, Power Query, SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, and integrating with external systems via APIs or scheduled extracts.
- Experience of Microsoft 365 governance, agile delivery, stakeholder communication, and working independently in a small team environment.
- Strong stakeholder communication – able to translate user need into design and back, and to explain technical trade‑offs to a finance and operations audience.
- Self‑direction – able to operate effectively as the sole technical build resource within a small team where E3G colleagues contribute part‑time alongside their core roles.
- One or more current Microsoft Power Platform certifications: PL‑300 (Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate), PL‑400 (Power Platform Developer Associate), or PL‑200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate).
- Hands‑on experience integrating with Mavenlink/Kantata, QuickBooks, BambooHR, or comparable PSA, finance, and HR systems via API, OData, or scheduled extract.
- Exposure to AI Builder, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or other AI‑augmented Power Platform capabilities.
What We Offer
- 9‑month fixed‑term contract with the potential for extension, if required.
- Work‑life balance, enjoy a 35‑hour work week with a hybrid work model and flexitime.
- 25 days’ annual leave, pro‑rated for the length of the contract, plus additional leave between Christmas and New Year.
- Pension contribution plan (can vary according to location).
- E3G offers a reward and benefits package which compares well with other organisations within our sector. The indicative salary range in the UK for this position is between £58,394 – £64,790 dependent on experience and qualifications of the chosen candidate.
E3G values diversity and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or ethnic background.
