Senior Assurance Analyst in Salford

This role is largely remote with travel to London, Manchester, Peterborough, Stoke or Chesterfield when required. We are looking for a Senior Assurance Analyst to play a key role in delivering our annual assurance plan and strengthening our risk and compliance framework across the business. This is a hands-on role covering the full assurance lifecycle from planning and testing through to reporting and follow-up. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify risks, agree remediation actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of the annual assurance plan by identifying risks and designing effective testing approaches.
• Plan, execute, and document assurance reviews, producing clear and insightful reports.
• Collate and analyse testing results and present findings to key stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with business areas to agree robust remediation actions and track progress.
• Maintain accurate assurance records, including updating the Risk Management System.
• Support senior management with high-quality risk and compliance reporting.
• Build strong working relationships across the Group, following up on actions and escalating where needed.
• Support the development of team capability and promote a collaborative, professional culture.

Skills, Experience & Knowledge

• Experience working in an assurance or audit role.
• Strong understanding of testing approaches and assurance methodologies.
• Knowledge of audit, assurance, and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working with remote teams.

Desirable

• Experience in IT audit, data or information governance, or risk management.
• Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and/or the insurance sector.
• Experience working closely with senior management.
• Relevant professional qualifications (ICA, IRM, IIA) or willingness to work towards them.
