An insurance client needs an experienced interim Compliance & Risk Manager to stabilise and run BAU while supporting senior stakeholders across key regulatory activity. This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running with FCA/PRA-facing work, governance and submissions.

What you’ll do (interim focus)

  • Own and deliver FCA/PRA regulatory submissions, applications and notifications end-to-end
  • Support senior leadership with regulatory relationship management (briefings, proactive engagement)
  • Manage SMCR records (Responsibilities Map / Statements of Responsibilities / evidence trail)
  • Produce clear compliance reporting for Boards/Committees/Exec
  • Maintain and refresh key compliance policies
  • Oversee elements of the Financial Crime Framework and ensure effective monitoring
  • Support rollout and monitoring of the GRC training plan and compliance culture

What We Need

  • Strong background in insurance compliance within an FCA/PRA regulated environment
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing FCA/PRA returns/submissions and regulatory notifications
  • Confident managing SMCR artefacts and governance documentation
  • Board/Committee level reporting experience; comfortable with EXCO stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of 3 Lines of Defence (3LoD) and operating model practicalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical capability is essential

£675 p/day - £750 p/day d.o.e.
