Futures is seeking the first Procurement Apprentice on an initial 15 month fixed term contract. Apprenticeship start salaries are age dependent and may vary accordingly.
You will be part of a supported, proactive team and assist with procurement administration, contract support, supplier onboarding and procurement compliance processes while gaining experience in core procurement practice. You’ll be organized and have strong communication and attention to detail. You’ll be comfortable with numbers, accurate, and have a passion for data as you progress in this opportunity to enter the world of procurement.
Responsibilities- Assist with procurement administration, contract support, supplier onboarding and procurement compliance processes.
- Gain proficiency in software platforms including MS Excel, Word, and procurement systems (e.g., Procurement Portals, Orchard).
- Attend in-house and online training aligned with public sector procurement and compliance.
- Build confidence in supporting and interacting with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the wider procurement team.
- Organised with strong communication and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with numbers, accurate, and data-driven.
- Interest in developing professional procurement practice.
