About the Role

Are you a skilled mechanic with a knack for customer interaction? As a customer facing Repair Mechanic in Birmingham, you'll be the face of our workshop, providing expert repair services to our valued courier riders. You'll manage appointments, handle walk-in repairs, and may occasionally provide roadside assistance. If you combine exceptional mechanical skills with outstanding customer service abilities and thrive in a dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity to make a real impact. We have multiple roles for both Junior & Senior Mechanics!

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Workshop Operations:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer repair and maintenance requests, providing friendly and efficient service.
  • Manage the daily appointment calendar, scheduling repairs and communicating effectively with customers.
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of e‑bike and e‑moped issues, providing clear explanations and solutions to customers.
  • Perform high‑quality repairs and maintenance, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.
  • Process repair invoices and handle customer queries professionally.
  • May be required to attend to occasional roadside assistance requests.
  • Technical Expertise & Workshop Support:
  • Maintain a strong understanding of e‑bike and e‑moped mechanics and repair procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry best practices and technical advancements.
  • Assist with workshop organisation and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Mechanic and other team members to ensure efficient workshop operations.

Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills (e‑bikes and/or e‑mopeds a bonus). Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non‑technical individuals. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively. A valid driving licence and a clean driving record (may be required). A proactive and positive attitude with a genuine desire to help customers. Knowledge of workshop safety procedures.
