PR Account Manager & Media Relations Specialist with B2B Aviation Tech, Loyalty Tech, Payment Tech and Travel Tech Experience (REMOTE)
Join to apply for the PR Account Manager & Media Relations Specialist with B2B Aviation Tech, Loyalty Tech, Payment Tech and Travel Tech Experience (REMOTE) role at THINKINK
THINKINK is a globally recognized communications agency that helps B2B technology companies within the aviation, loyalty, payments, retail, and travel sectors build their media presence, increase their brand visibility and grow their business. With over two decades of experience across these interconnected industries, we create industry‑specific PR and communications strategies that position our clients as experts in their field through high‑quality media coverage, content, and conferences. We have a global footprint and client base across North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia.
The role
We are looking for a PR Account Manager & Media Relations Specialist with experience managing multiple accounts. The role involves working on a portfolio of 3–5 accounts across account management and media relations functions: executing clients’ PR and earned media strategies, communicating their stories to trade and business media, as well as trade influencers within a targeted set of industries, while ensuring all PR and content meet high editorial standards.
This is a permanent full‑time position for someone who enjoys working directly with multiple B2B brands to generate earned media opportunities and can deliver results consistently and autonomously.
Are we the right fit?
We’re a team of industry experts, problem‑solvers and strategists who are well‑versed in all aspects of B2B marketing communications, research and PR, and don’t consider ourselves a traditional PR agency with layers of hierarchy and titles. Because of our specialization, we need a candidate with experience in at least two of these industries: aviation technology, loyalty technology, payment technology, retail technology or travel technology. Experience in B2B PR and communications is a must, as that is our agency’s focus.
Does this sound like you?
- You are a powerful storyteller, communicator, writer and editor, who is equally comfortable pitching editors and presenting ideas or recommendations to clients, and enjoys leading meetings with clients and internal teams.
- You are strategic and client focused. You keep the big picture in view, align your work to measurable outcomes, and always ask, “How does this serve the client?”
- It’s important for you to understand clients’ challenges and how their businesses work so you can identify opportunities that support their needs and objectives.
- You are adept at managing multiple timelines and competing priorities with zero dropped balls. At the same time, you are flexible and remain mostly calm under pressure.
- You’re equally a team player and a self‑starter. You don’t wait around for instructions; you look for solutions and figure it out.
- You are a hybrid of creative and analytical. You can come up with great ideas and storylines, but you can also look at performance metrics and PR and marketing data and explain what these mean and how they impact a client’s business in language they understand.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute PR strategies that span storytelling, pitching, media outreach, monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with editors, journalists, and industry influencers to regularly secure meaningful and relevant coverage.
- Lead day‑to‑day client management, serving as the main point of contact, managing scopes of work, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget.
- Oversee campaign planning and execution, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and internal workflows to ensure quality and consistency across every account.
- Collaborate closely with internal strategy, content, and creative teams to deliver integrated campaigns that meet client goals and uphold THINKINK’s editorial and reputational standards.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities and insights that inform client strategies and strengthen their market positioning.
- Contribute to account growth, anticipating client needs, identifying opportunities to expand scopes, and demonstrating measurable impact through your work.
What success looks like:
- 10+ years of experience in PR & media relations, including at least 5 years in an agency setting.
- Proven experience and track record.
- Experience representing B2B companies in at least two of these industries: aviation technology, loyalty technology, payment technology, retail technology or travel technology.
- Demonstrated success securing placements in top‑tier business, tech and trade publications.
- Strong technology skills and ability to use project management, planning and media relations software such as BuzzStream, Muck Rack, Meltwater, and Workfront or Workamajig (or similar project management programs).
- Experience managing multiple client accounts with a high degree of independence.
- Confidence in presenting strategies, ideas and results to clients, and leading client calls.
- Developing project plans and workflows.
