This highly regarded practice acts for both Government and private sector clients across the full project lifecycle and is consistently recognised in the legal directories for its strength in infrastructure, rail, electricity (including renewables), oil & gas and PPP/PFI work. This role offers exposure to headline-making projects, regulatory reform and complex transactions supporting the UK’s infrastructure growth and net zero ambitions. You will work alongside a collaborative cross-office team with opportunities for progression and international exposure.
The Role
- Advise on complex energy, transport and infrastructure projects
- Support and lead on project finance, PPP/PFI and transactional matters
- Draft and negotiate detailed contractual documentation
- Advise on risk allocation across multi-stakeholder projects
- Work with both public sector and private sector clients
- Contribute to business development and client relationship growth
- Collaborate across offices in the UK and internationally
- Opportunity for client secondments and cross-office experience
The work spans rail, airports, roads, bridges, water, waste, telecoms, defence, offshore wind, oil & gas transition, hydrogen, carbon capture, sustainable fuels and wider infrastructure reform.
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years PQE Projects experience across infrastructure/transport and/or energy
- Project finance or PPP experience welcomed
- Strong contractual drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent commercial judgement and risk assessment capability
- Ability to work independently and within large, multi-disciplinary teams
- Rail experience advantageous
- Strong academic background
