An excellent opportunity to join a leading international law firm in a Business Development Manager role, supporting a high-growth Regulatory & Investigations practice. This position sits within a wider disputes and contentious environment and plays a key role in delivering strategic business development, client targeting and marketing initiatives across the UK and internationally.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support partners across regulatory, compliance, investigations, financial crime, international trade and environmental matters. The role offers broad exposure, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute directly to practice and divisional growth.
Role- Support and deliver business development strategy across the Regulatory & Investigations practice
- Develop and manage BD campaigns aligned with practice, divisional and firmwide objectives
- Manage RFPs and proposal activity, including input into regional and global submissions
- Support key client development, panel appointments and client relationship initiatives
- Work with partners to implement individual and practice-level business plans
- Conduct market and client research to identify opportunities and reasons to engage
- Prepare partners for client meetings, pitches and BD discussions
- Produce high-quality credentials, presentations and promotional materials
- Support and coordinate client feedback initiatives
- Plan and deliver client events, both in-person and virtual, working with internal teams
- Draft invitations, create target lists and manage event logistics
- Identify and manage sponsorship and hospitality opportunities
- Manage legal directory and awards submissions, ensuring effective promotion of the practice
- Track return on investment using CRM and digital marketing tools
- Proven business development experience within a legal or professional services environment
- Experience supporting Regulatory, Compliance, Investigations, Financial Crime or related practices
- Strong understanding of the UK legal market or willingness to develop this expertise
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to short deadlines
- Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and LinkedIn (Sales Navigator exposure advantageous)
