An excellent opportunity to join a leading international law firm as a Senior Pitch Manager, working on complex, high-value proposals across multiple practices and jurisdictions. This is a senior role within a global pitch function, offering real autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to lead some of the firm’s most strategically important bids.
Working closely with stakeholders across the UK, EMEA and internationally, you will take ownership of end-to-end pitch activity, shaping strategy, driving best practice and delivering high-quality submissions to tight deadlines. This role would suit an experienced pitch professional who can operate confidently at pace and “hit the ground running”.
Role- Lead global, multi-practice and multi-jurisdictional pitches and RFP responses
- Own pitch strategy from Go/No-Go decision through to submission, presentation and debrief
- Draft and edit substantial sections of complex proposals, ensuring clarity, quality and consistency
- Coordinate input from senior stakeholders across practices, sectors and geographies
- Develop and embed best practice approaches to pitching and proposal management
- Support business development, client retention and growth initiatives
- Prepare pitch presentations and coach senior stakeholders as required
- Line manage and develop members of the bids team
- Manage multiple concurrent projects to demanding deadlines
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bids, pitches or proposals, ideally within legal or professional services
- Proven track record leading complex, high-value, multi-jurisdictional bids
- Strong bid management and project management skills
- Exceptional writing, editing and presentation abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Confident stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders
- Previous line management experience within a bids or proposals team
- Ability to adapt quickly, remain flexible and perform under pressure
