We are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Play Leader at New Horizons Children’s Academy to stimulate and engage our children in exciting play and games at lunchtime whilst maintaining their safety. A willingness to work as part of a team and seek positive solutions is essential.
Hours: 11.30 – 13.00 or 11.50 – 13.20, Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will supervise pupils outside in the dining areas, ensuring good standards of behaviour by following the School’s Behaviour Management Policy. The Lunchtime Play Leader will assist with associated ancillary duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean, etc). They will provide welfare support to the pupils, including undertaking first aid duties (depending on training) and will ensure School security regulations are upheld.
At the discretion of the school, the Lunchtime Play Leader may be required to work between 1–5 INSET days per academic year, to complete additional training and safeguarding updates, which may sometimes be outside of school hours.
New Horizons Children’s Academy is a "Good" school (Ofsted May 2022) with a three-form entry that teaches over 600 children from the local community. Our aim is to provide an education that meets the needs of all our children and we expect high standards of behaviour and a positive attitude to learning.
