1-2 hours a week event management for Think Tenacity Events. You can help us by providing your expert skills and guidance to our small nonprofit team.

This role supports Think Tenacity Events and Free Therapy Team to continue providing FREE counselling and mental health support for our members from the Black community.

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced volunteer with a previous role as Event Manager with at least three years working in the private or public sector.

Skills / Experience

  • Minimum solid 3-4 years experience as an Event Manager.
  • High organisational skills.
  • Keen eye for high attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for verbal communication.
  • A calm approach to a busy event with 100+ delegates.
  • Ability to work under pressure keeping to event timings whilst effectively troubleshooting issues and multi-tasking.
  • Solution focussed for time management when managing event schedules.
  • Self-motivated to work independently meeting event management deadlines.
  • Ability to use WhatsApp for event team communications.

What will you be doing?

  • Remain calm managing busy on-site event team.
  • Exceptional punctuality needed with super time-management skills to manage event running order and event program.
  • Availability to arrive one hour early to London event venue to carry out pre-Event Manager tasks and venue risk assessment.
  • You are passionate about mental health free support.
  • Attend weekly update event status team Zoom meeting with CEO & Think Tenacity Senior Leader Team.
  • Manage event delegate stakeholders email communications from panel, speakers to charity tables.
  • Oversee the registration desk and delegate sign-in, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
  • Create brand new onsite event management standard operating procedure (SOP) helping to maintain on-site event team consistency and efficiency.
