Do you love organising events? This year 2026, can you volunteer for 1‐2 hours a week managing the planning and delivery of Think Tenacity Events providing FREE COUNSELLING (Central London)? This role supports Think Tenacity Events and the Free Therapy Team to continue providing free counselling and mental health support for our members from the Black community.
This volunteering role will help our non‐profit organisation develop free entry events for 2026 to drive future success for the organisation by educating and raising awareness of Black mental health issues in the community.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum three years experience as an Event Manager
- High organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal skills
- High written and verbal communication
- A calm approach for event time‐management
- Ability to work under pressure to ensure the efficient running of an event
- Flexible and solution‐focused when managing event schedules
- Must have a proactive approach to share new event management ideas
- Self‐motivated to work independently but can adapt to be a team player
- Ability to use WhatsApp for event team communications
What will you be doing?
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about mental health events that are free for the Black community. Manage onsite event team with confident leadership skills. Weekly update event status team meeting with CEO & Think Tenacity Senior Leader Team via Zoom. Managing pre‐event deadlines from panel/speaker schedule, setting up the venue, volunteer delegation and RSVP delegate management. Responsibility for on‐site event day management; arriving at the venue early for set‐up. Update event team's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) providing step‐by‐step instructions for completing event tasks, helping to maintain consistency and efficiency. Update events registration booking page using event software tool Eventbrite.com.
