Head of Property & Facilities £80,000 + £7,000 car allowance + 15-20% bonus National UK remit | Hybrid / Multi-site This is a senior property leadership opportunity for an experienced commercial building professional looking to take ownership of a substantial UK-wide property and facilities portfolio. You'll be joining a large, established international business with a significant operational estate, leading the property and facilities function across 43 UK sites and playing a key role in keeping the estate safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage the day-to-day. You'll have the opportunity to shape property strategy, lead a strong professional team, influence senior stakeholders and drive improvements across a complex national estate. Location: UK-wide remit. You must be based within approximately 2 hours of Heathrow and comfortable with travel across the UK as required. What you'll be responsible for You'll lead a team of 4 Regional Property Managers, a Facilities Manager, CAFM Supervisor and Property Support Administrator, providing strategic direction while remaining the senior property subject matter expert across the wider business. Your remit will include: Leading the UK property and facilities strategy across 43 operational sites Managing an annual property budget of approximately £8m Overseeing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance programmes Managing a network of 100+ specialist contractors and suppliers Ensuring the successful delivery of thousands of planned and reactive service visits each year Taking ownership of property compliance, statutory requirements, risk and audit Managing supplier performance, contracts and cost efficiencies Leading utilities and sustainability initiatives, including carbon reporting Supporting acquisitions, relocations, expansions and site exits Overseeing dilapidations and leasehold improvement programmes Driving the development and optimisation of the CAFM system Acting as the senior escalation point for property-related issues Providing expert advice and support to senior stakeholders across the businessAbout you We're looking for an experienced senior property professional with a strong commercial building background. You'll ideally have experience of leading a sizeable multi-site UK property or facilities portfolio, managing professional teams and significant budgets. You'll need to be: Professionally qualified - MRICS, MCIOB, Building Surveying, Construction or equivalent Experienced in a commercial building / property environment Comfortable managing substantial operational budgets, ideally £5m+ Experienced in national contractor and supplier management Strong on property compliance, statutory maintenance and risk Confident managing and developing professional teams Comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level Commercially minded and able to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction A strong communicator who can build relationships with people at all levelsMost importantly, you'll be a team player and a genuinely people-focused leader. This is a role where your ability to build trust, influence others and work collaboratively will be just as important as your technical property expertise. You'll need to be professional, approachable and comfortable working with everyone from operational teams through to senior leadership. Experience within logistics, industrial, distribution or corporate real estate would be advantageous, as would exposure to CAFM, sustainability and carbon reporting.
