This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on but is also ready to step into a senior, influential position within a collaborative and high-performing finance team.
The role:
- Managing a portfolio of key customer accounts, ensuring strong cash collection and reduced aged debt, while acting as a go-to person within the team.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of a small Credit Control team, helping to mentor and guide best practice.
- Managing high-value and complex customer accounts.
- Driving cash collection and reducing aged debt.
- Handling escalated queries and resolving disputes efficiently.
- Reviewing credit limits and assessing customer risk.
- Producing debtor reports, ageing analysis and supporting cashflow forecasting.
- Identifying trends and suggesting process improvements.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Working closely with internal teams (Sales, Billing, Customer Service) to resolve issues.
This is a role where you can genuinely add value, both operationally and from a leadership perspective.
What we are looking for:
- 3 to 5+ years' experience within Credit Control.
- Experience managing complex or high-value accounts.
- Confident handling escalations and difficult conversations.
- Strong Excel and systems experience.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ideally some experience supporting or mentoring others.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- A CICM qualification (or working towards) would be a bonus, but not essential.
Why this role?
- Proven, supportive team.
- The opportunity to take ownership of your day-to-day.
- Hybrid working and a great working culture.
- A business that values collaboration and continuous improvement.
If you're looking for that next step where you can take more ownership, mentor others, and be part of a business that genuinely invests in its people, this could be a great move.
