We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist distributor business based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some form of experience and open to more entry-level candidates with the right attitude as full training will be provided.
This role would suit someone with a genuine interest in technology, who enjoys a varied role and wants to build a long-term career within the industry. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 4.30pm with an hour's lunch break, based in the Maylands area in Hemel Hempstead, a few minutes walk from the shops.
The Role:
This is a varied position combining warehouse operations with customer support and product administration. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing customer orders
- Managing returns and repairs
- Maintaining equipment
- Providing first-line support to customers via phone and email
- Attending industry trade shows and events from time to time
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, checking and booking in deliveries
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
- Managing customer returns and repair requests
- Preparing and maintaining demo equipment
- Providing first-line support to customers by phone and email
- Updating CRM systems and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with suppliers, service centres and internal departments
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control
- Supporting the wider operations team with day-to-day warehouse activities
- Attending industry exhibitions and trade shows when required
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in technology
- Is confident speaking with customers over the phone
- Has excellent written communication skills and can write professional emails
- Has good attention to detail and a strong memory for processes and product information
- Is organised and able to manage a variety of tasks
- Enjoys providing excellent customer service
- Is comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
Previous warehouse, logistics or customer service experience would be an advantage.
