Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic company based within the Borehamwood area. This company have an opportunity for a Claims Handler to join their team. This position will be working within a claims department, ensuring all claims are handled from first negotiation through to settlement.

The successful candidate will be someone who has previous experience as a Claims Handler (this is a must have), with good written and spoken communication skills. This is a great opportunity to join a brilliant team environment and company that have a great culture. Monday - Friday with hybrid working after training. Salary - 30,000 plus good benefits.

Duties:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for policyholders, providing advice and guidance throughout the full cycle of their claim.
  • Monitoring the progress of each claim, keeping customers updated throughout.
  • Obtaining relevant documentation to support and progress claims appropriately.
  • Negotiating and settling claims within delegated authority limits, referring claims to underwriters where necessary.
  • Preparing professional, well written responses to enquiries.
  • Managing department email inboxes, responding to emails within a timely manner.
  • Handling calls from customers and stakeholders as required, maintaining strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Ensuring all actions and documentation comply with FCA regulations.
  • Accurately maintain client records.
  • Working well as part of the team.
