Think Accountancy & Finance are working with a truly incredible and rapidly growing business in North Bristol to recruit a Financial Analyst. You will be supporting the preparation of monthly Management Accounts. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business that is investing in its already strong finance team and looking for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, improving processes, and utilising financial insights to support decision making across the wider business. The role offers variety, flexibility and growth, making it ideal for someone looking to step up into a more varied and analytical position, directly supporting the Financial Controller and CFO. This role offers hybrid working, 1 day a week in the office.
The Role
- Analysing financial data to provide insight across the business (75% of the role)
- Preparing and supporting monthly management accounts (25% of the role)
- Working with large datasets, improving and maintaining Excel-based models
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting and streamline processes
- Supporting month-end processes including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Providing ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions
About You
- We’re open on level, but you’ll need to be confident working with data and comfortable getting involved in the month-end process.
- Experience preparing or supporting management accounts
- Strong Excel skills – including working with large datasets, data manipulation, pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Analytical mindset with a genuine interest in using data to tell a story
- Ideally part qualified, studying towards (or qualified in) AAT / ACCA / CIMA
- Someone who enjoys improving processes and finding better ways of working
