Think Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a unique and exciting business based close to St Albans. This Accounts Receivable-focused finance position offers the opportunity to take real ownership of aged debt, identifying, investigating and resolving queries across multiple entities within a fast-paced environment. This role would be ideal for someone who has recently completed their degree and is at the early stages of their career. If you are looking to apply your academic background within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, and enjoy finding resolutions, improving processes and being the person who keeps the cash flowing, this could be a brilliant next move. This is a hybrid role with the option to work from home one day a week after full training.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning the end-to-end AR process
- Monitoring aged debt and driving timely collections
- Querying and resolving customer issues and deductions
- Reconciling internal systems to customer accounts
- Working cross functionally across the business and liaising with external teams
- Supporting process improvements and assisting with a new system implementation
Who We're Looking For
- Strong academic background (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar)
- AR / Credit Control experience and a genuine love for this area of finance
- Confidence chasing payments and resolving customer deductions
- ERP system experience
- Strong Excel capability (reconciliations and data handling)
- A proactive, self-starting mindset
- Confident communication skills, both internally and externally
