Working Site Manager - Night Shift Shopfitting Rate: £280-£300 per shift Hours: 8pm-6am Days: Sunday-Thursday nights Sector: Shopfitting / Retail Refurbishment Location: Gloucestershire The Role We're looking for a Site Manager to join an established shopfitting company delivering refurbishments and fit-outs across high street retail stores. This is a hands-on Site Manager role for someone who enjoys being on site and getting stuck in. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the night shift, including Health & Safety, site management and coordinating a small team consisting of a Joiner and Labourer. Around 2-3 hours of the shift will be focused on Site Management and Health & Safety, with the remainder of the night spent working alongside the team and helping the job along. You'll need to be happy bringing your own tools and getting stuck in on the tools when required. Your Responsibilities Take responsibility for the site during the night shift Manage Health & Safety and ensure all site procedures are followed Complete site checks, inductions and relevant paperwork Manage and coordinate the Joiner and Labourer on site Ensure the project stays on programme Keep the site clean, safe and organised Work alongside the Joiner and Labourer and help with the refurbishment works Bring your own tools and be prepared to get stuck in when required Help ensure the store is completed to a high standard and ready for handover About You Has previous Site Management experience Holds a valid SMSTS Has experience in shopfitting, retail fit-out or refurbishment Is hands-on and competent on the tools Is happy to bring their own tools to site Enjoys working alongside trades rather than simply supervising Can confidently manage a small team Is organised, reliable and proactive Is comfortable working Sunday-Thursday nights The Important Bit This isn't a traditional Site Manager position where you'll spend the whole shift in the site office. You'll be running the site, managing Health & Safety and coordinating the team, but you'll also be expected to get your sleeves rolled up and help the Joiner and Labourer deliver the work. We need someone who can manage the site and still pick up the tools when needed. Shift Pattern Sunday-Thursday 8pm-6am £280-£300 per shift, depending on experience
