Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Bid Writer to strengthen their pre-construction team. Our client is a respected Midlands-based main contractor delivering new build, refurbishment, extensions and design & build projects valued up to £15 million across a range of sectors. The Role
Working as part of the pre-construction team, you'll take ownership of producing high-quality tender submissions and Selection Questionnaires (SQs), ensuring every submission is compelling, client-focused and delivered to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing high-quality SQs, tenders and bid submissions.
- Writing clear, persuasive responses tailored to individual client requirements.
- Working closely with Estimators, Contracts Managers and the wider pre-construction team to develop winning submissions.
- Creating and maintaining high-quality case studies, CVs and bid content.
- Managing the presentation and design of tender documents to a professional standard.
- Proofreading and reviewing submissions before issue.
- Supporting post-tender interview presentations.
- Developing and maintaining the company's bid library.
- Capturing client feedback to help improve future submissions.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- At least 3 years' experience in a Bid Writer role ideally within the construction industry.
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Experience producing winning tender submissions and SQ responses.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and document presentation.
- The confidence to work independently whilst collaborating with operational teams.
