We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a £300k Cat A & Cat B office fit-out project in Watford. The works are being carried out within a live, occupied commercial building, so previous experience managing projects in operational environments is essential.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard, whilst maintaining excellent communication with the client and building occupants.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day running of the site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and oversee all site activities.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Monitor quality and ensure works meet project specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, providing regular progress updates.
- Resolve site issues proactively and make informed decisions to keep the project on track.
- Ensure minimal disruption to the occupied building throughout the works.
- Proven experience managing Cat A & Cat B office fit-out projects.
- Experience working within live, occupied commercial buildings.
- Strong client-facing skills with a professional approach.
- SMSTS.
- Black CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Excellent knowledge of construction health & safety legislation.
