This is an ongoing contract for at least 4 months, with an immediate start and a desirable 4-day working week, giving you a guaranteed 3-day weekend every week.
What the Role Offers
- Pay: £17.00 per hour (Umbrella)
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Working Days: Tuesday to Friday
- Work-Life Balance: 3-day weekend every week
- Location: Local routes throughout Sunderland

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 2 refuse collection vehicles on established local routes
- Work as part of a small, dedicated team alongside refuse loaders
- Complete collections efficiently, professionally and in line with health and safety requirements
- Carry out daily vehicle walk-around checks and report any defects
- Maintain a professional and reliable approach throughout each shift
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
- Valid CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Reliable, punctual and team-focused approach
- Previous refuse collection or municipal driving experience is desirable but not essential
