The Role
Think Property Services are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative with a Flooring discipline to join a busy property maintenance and construction team based in Spennymoor. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled flooring operative to join a well-established housing maintenance environment, carrying out flooring works and associated multi-skilled repairs across domestic and commercial properties. As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for completing all types of flooring work to a high standard, while delivering an excellent level of customer service to tenants, residents and internal teams.
Duties Will Include:
- Carrying out all aspects of flooring work in domestic and commercial properties
- Completing associated multi-skilled repairs where required
- Working safely and efficiently in line with risk assessments
- Delivering works in line with construction drawings and job specifications
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality standard
- Working within a target-driven repairs and maintenance environment
- Communicating effectively with tenants, residents, colleagues and stakeholders
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Adapting positively to changes in working practices
- Representing the organisation professionally while working in local communities
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering, or be working towards this qualification
- Approximately 2 years of on-site training or relevant practical experience
- Experience carrying out flooring works in domestic and commercial properties
- Linked building skills to carry out multi-skilled works
- CSCS card appropriate to the role
- Experience working in a target-driven environment
- The ability to undertake multi-skilled trade competencies
- Understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings
- Sound knowledge of building construction, components and building trades
- Strong communication skills
- A flexible and positive approach to work
- Excellent customer service skills
