Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead major refurbishment and fit-out projects for a well-established regional contractor with an excellent reputation? Our client is an award-winning construction contractor with an annual turnover of approximately £160 million and a strong pipeline of secured work across the Midlands, South Yorkshire and the Northwest. The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £10 million office fit-out project in Sheffield. This is a genuine project lead role where you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the scheme from start to finish, supported by an experienced visiting Contracts Manager and commercial team. Following completion of the Sheffield project, you will move on to a pipeline of refurbishment and fit-out schemes across the commercial, education and healthcare sectors throughout South Yorkshire and the North West, with project values typically ranging from £5 million to £15 million. You'll have the autonomy to run your own projects while being supported by an experienced senior management team.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion.
- Lead site teams and manage subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee project programmes, quality, health & safety, and client relationships.
- Work closely with the commercial team to ensure projects remain on budget and commercially successful.
- Chair site meetings and coordinate consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
We're looking for a Project Manager who has:
- Proven experience delivering refurbishment and fit-out projects valued at £5 million+.
- A strong background working for a main contractor.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders while driving projects to successful completion.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to project delivery.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
