Think Recruitment are currently working with a well established and growing consultancy who, due to a significant increase in their workload, are looking to appoint a Senior Technician to their Leicester team. Our client have a fantastic reputation for delivering projects across a wide range of sectors, from high rise residential and commercial to industrial developments and so are looking for an experienced Technician to play a key role in the delivery of these projects.

With a solid consultancy background, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking technical drawing work in 2D and 3D on major projects.
  • Producing reinforcement bending schedules for reinforced concrete.
  • Managing workload on numerous projects to ensure deadlines are met and client requirements are fulfilled.
  • Taking a lead role in larger schemes to plan work and delegate to other Technicians within the Department.
  • Mentoring Junior Technicians.
  • Liaising with Clients and external design teams on a daily basis.
  • Contributing to and taking an active role in the improvement of Company and Drawing Office procedures.

To be considered you will have good all-round technical drawing expertise using Revit and AutoCAD for all building materials, knowledge of civil and structural build details and construction interfaces and experience in the detailing of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork, while knowledge in use of BIM packages would also be advantageous.
