Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader required to work with a leading North East Housing association covering the Berwick region.
The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of trades and maintenance staff while they deliver building and maintenance repairs on social housing properties. We are looking for someone who is an experienced tradesman, with previous experience leading teams of tradesmen and knowledge of building maintenance repairs and social housing.
You will need to have a positive and proactive attitude whilst demonstrating enthusiasm and professionalism at all times. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of trades and maintenance staff
- Delivering building and maintenance repairs on social housing properties
- Managing external contractors
About you:
You will need a comprehensive understanding of building construction and its components as well as knowledge of various building trades and relevant building regulations. Having knowledge of identifying and addressing damp and mold issues is beneficial.
Strong supervisory skills are essential in this role, you must be able to develop a team and optimize its performance. The role requires achievements of performance targets and deadlines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- NVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant trade role
- Full UK driving license
- Ideally hold working at heights, asbestos awareness and other construction safety related certificates
- Must be happy to work outside of normal working hours as part of a rota
