The Company An established Midlands-based construction and fit-out contractor with over 45 years' experience delivering high-quality refurbishment, fit-out and construction projects across the UK. The business specialises in creating and transforming commercial environments, with a particularly strong presence across hospitality, leisure, commercial, healthcare and education. Projects range from bars, restaurants, pubs and hotels through to offices and wider commercial environments. Working as a Principal Contractor, the business provides an end-to-end service covering project management, construction, fit-out, joinery, M&E, finishes and installation. The Role They are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. The role would suit an experienced Project Manager from a fit-out, refurbishment, interiors or main contracting background, particularly someone who has worked within hospitality, leisure, retail or other live commercial environments. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from pre-construction through to practical completion and handover. Take overall responsibility for programme, budget, quality and delivery. Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, suppliers, consultants and clients. Develop and monitor project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved. Manage project costs and identify potential commercial issues at an early stage. Attend client, design and progress meetings. Review drawings, specifications and construction information. Coordinate design development and resolve technical issues throughout the project. Manage procurement and ensure materials and subcontract packages are delivered in line with programme requirements. Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant health & safety requirements. Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Monitor progress on site and ensure works are delivered to the required quality. Manage snagging, completion and handover. Provide regular project updates to senior management. About You The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction, fit-out or refurbishment. Experience delivering projects from inception through to completion. Strong knowledge of commercial interiors and construction processes. Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades. Good understanding of programmes, budgets, procurement and project reporting. Strong client and stakeholder management skills. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS or similar would be advantageous.Hospitality, pub, restaurant, hotel, leisure, retail or commercial fit-out experience would be particularly beneficial, although candidates from a wider refurbishment or interiors background will also be considered
