Painter and Decorator – Leicester Region

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team, working on behalf of a highly reputable local authority in the Leicester region.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to carry out high-quality painting and decorating work across void and tenanted properties. You\’ll be responsible for delivering a first-class service while maintaining safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Painting and decorating void and occupied properties
• Treating and painting areas affected by damp and mould
• Preparing surfaces (stripping, filling, sanding, priming)
• Working safely and efficiently in occupied homes
• Ensuring all work meets required quality and time standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator (social housing or domestic experience desirable)
• Full UK Driving Licence – essential
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Painting & Decorating – desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
