Permanent | Full Time – Salary up to £34,000 depending on experience
Think Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well‑established property maintenance contractor covering Oldbury and surrounding areas. This is a permanent opportunity working across residential properties carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works within occupied and void homes.
The Role
As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance works with a strong focus on carpentry and plumbing.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out a range of multi‑trade repairs and maintenance works
- Completing 1st and 2nd fix carpentry including doors, frames, skirting and architraves
- Undertaking basic plumbing repairs including leaks, taps, toilets and minor pipework
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs within occupied and void properties
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with a professional finish
- Using mobile devices to update job progress and completed works
- Working closely with supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Providing excellent customer service to residents at all times
- Maintaining Health & Safety standards and company procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing or domestic maintenance
- Strong carpentry skills (1st and 2nd fix essential)
- Basic plumbing experience
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools relevant to the trade
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements
