We're looking for a Carpenter / Multi-Tradesman with SSSTS or SMSTS to join a £1.5m residential conversion project in Newark. The project involves converting an existing building into 24 apartments. You'll work alongside the Site Manager and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site when they're not present, so this would suit someone looking to take the next step into an Assistant Site Manager position while still being hands-on.
The Role
- Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the project
- Taking responsibility for the site when the Site Manager is away
- Coordinating subcontractors and trades
- Keeping works progressing to programme
- Maintaining health & safety and site standards
- Carrying out hands-on carpentry / multi-trade work where required
- Managing deliveries, materials and general site organisation
Requirements
- Carpentry / multi-trade background
- Previous refurbishment, conversion or residential experience
- SSSTS or SMSTS - essential
- Relevant CSCS card
- Confident managing trades and taking responsibility for site operations
- Good understanding of health & safety and site procedures
