I'm working with a large, well-established contractor delivering social housing refurbishment works for Leeds City Council. The contractor operates across a range of sectors including new build housing, social housing refurbishments, and commercial projects.
They are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of kitchen and bathroom replacements and full/partial rewires across occupied properties.
The Role:
- Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of social housing refurbishment projects
- Coordinating kitchen, bathroom, and electrical rewire works across multiple plots
- Supervising subcontractors and direct labour on site
- Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with programme
- Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
- Monitoring quality of workmanship and reporting defects or issues
- Liaising with residents, client representatives, and internal teams
- Maintaining site paperwork including daily diaries, H&S records, and progress updates
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager or supervisory role within social housing refurbishment
- Experience working on kitchens, bathrooms, and/or rewire programmes preferred
- Strong understanding of health & safety and working in occupied properties
- Good communication and organisational skills
- CSCS (essential), SMSTS or SSSTS preferred, First Aid advantageous
