Join Our Skilled Highways Team in Durham
We\’re currently looking for an experienced Highways Operative to join a busy carriageway patching gang in the DH7 area of Durham. If you\’ve got experience working with tarmac and are looking for steady, hands-on work – we want to hear from you.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Working as part of a small team laying 10-20 tonnes of tarmac per day
- Operating from a mobile hotbox for carriageway patching
- Supporting all aspects of highway maintenance and resurfacing
- Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently on public roads
- Complying with health & safety regulations at all times
What You\’ll Need
- Experience laying tarmac
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Class 2 HGV Licence with CPC (advantageous)
- A good work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Pay & Benefits
- 15.00 per hour (paid weekly)
- Monday to Friday, full-time hours
