We\’re currently looking for an experienced Highways Operative to join a busy carriageway patching gang in the DH7 area of Durham. If you\’ve got experience working with tarmac and are looking for steady, hands-on work – we want to hear from you.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Working as part of a small team laying 10-20 tonnes of tarmac per day
  • Operating from a mobile hotbox for carriageway patching
  • Supporting all aspects of highway maintenance and resurfacing
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently on public roads
  • Complying with health & safety regulations at all times

What You\’ll Need

  • Experience laying tarmac
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Class 2 HGV Licence with CPC (advantageous)
  • A good work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay & Benefits

  • 15.00 per hour (paid weekly)
