Floorlayer - Merseyside Location: Merseyside Salary: Up to £31,000 depending on experience Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Reference: (phone number removed) Think Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Floorlayer to work across Merseyside for a leading property services and maintenance contractor. The Role The successful Floorlayer will be responsible for installing a range of resilient floor coverings within social housing properties, including kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas and other residential spaces. You will be expected to deliver high-quality workmanship while working safely and professionally in occupied homes. Key Responsibilities Prepare subfloors, including cleaning, smoothing, levelling and minor repairs. Install flat lay vinyl flooring. Fit cap and cove flooring systems. Form coves and weld joints to achieve watertight finishes. Carry out hot and cold welding of vinyl flooring. Accurately measure, cut and install flooring materials. Follow manufacturer specifications and Health & Safety requirements. Maintain clean, safe and tidy working areas. Complete job sheets, risk assessments and relevant paperwork. Liaise professionally with tenants, supervisors and contract managers. Meet productivity targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Requirements Proven experience installing flat lay vinyl flooring. Experience with cap and cove flooring. Skilled in hot and cold welding and finishing techniques. Experience preparing subfloors and using smoothing compounds. Social housing, local authority or similar experience is desirable. Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual and self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
