Electrician required to work with a local North London based council.

Rate - £25.10 per hour (via umbrella)

Location - North London (must live within half hour of N9)

Length - 3 month rolling contract (possibility of obtaining a permanent contract)

The role:

  • Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in both occupied and empty properties to a high standard, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Complete basic repairs across other trades, including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering, and wall/floor tiling.
  • Resolve minor issues where possible and refer complex work to the relevant specialist.
  • Carry out refurbishment, repair, and maintenance work either independently or as part of a multi-skilled team.
  • Complete property inspections when required and assist with emergency call-outs (e.g. after bad weather, vandalism, or fire).
  • Work across a variety of Council properties throughout the borough, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.
  • Represent the Council professionally when working in customers' homes and other Council properties, maintaining high standards of workmanship, integrity, and customer care.

Requirements:

  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory framework particularly in relation to Local Government compliance.
  • Clear understanding of repairs and maintenance process.
  • Familiarity with Nat Fed SORs associated with the repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications required:

  • NVQ level 3 in Electrical (or equivalent)
  • Driving Licence (van provided)
