The Opportunity
A leading housing association's in-house property maintenance arm is recruiting an Approved Electrician to join their responsive repairs and maintenance team. This is a mobile role covering Hereford, Leominster, South Shropshire and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality electrical works within domestic properties. You'll carry out remedial works, general maintenance, and responsive repairs while providing excellent customer service and ensuring work is completed right first time. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. Expectations are high, but you'll be fully supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

- Electrician salary (without 2391): 36,823 per annum

About You
You’ll be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and strong customer service skills. As you’ll be working in people’s homes, you must be professional, friendly, and well organised.
Essential / Desired Qualifications
- Completed an electrical apprenticeship or hold NVQ Level 3 & City & Guilds Level 3 AM2
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Inspection & Testing
- Candidates without 2391 will be considered at Electrician level.
Experience Required
- Strong experience carrying out electrical work in domestic properties
- Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, councils, or local authorities
- Experience delivering responsive repairs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential for this mobile role)
- Must live within Hereford, Leominster, South Shropshire or surrounding areas
Additional Information
- DBS check required due to working in customers' homes
- Participation in an out-of-hours rota, including evenings and weekends, is required
