Rate: £250 per day

I'm working with a well-established maintenance and construction provider delivering a range of social housing refurbishment projects across Cumbria. The works vary across the contract and include general refurbishments, kitchen and bathroom replacements, and Decent Homes programmes. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple live sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required standard. This is an ongoing position with the opportunity to move to a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Day-to-day site management of social housing refurbishment works
  • Managing subcontractors and direct labour across multiple plots and schemes
  • Coordinating kitchen, bathroom, and general refurbishment works
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times, including RAMS and site inductions
  • Liaising with residents, clients, and internal management teams
  • Maintaining site records, progress reports, and quality standards
  • Reporting into a Contracts or Operations Manager

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing social housing refurbishment or Decent Homes contracts
  • Strong understanding of working in occupied properties
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and programmes
  • CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Fire Marshal, and Asbestos Awareness (essential)
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across sites
