Experienced and professional Street Cleansing Operative required to work with a leading and highly reputable organisation. My client requires an experienced Street Cleansing Operative to join their award-winning environmental services division on an ongoing temporary contract.
Location: Brownhills
Pay: £17.23 per hour (Paid weekly via umbrella)
Hours: Up to 37 Hours (Monday to Friday, 4 days per week with 1 rest day)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months (with potential to extend)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out street cleansing duties including litter picking and sweeping
- Remove fly tipping and bulky waste from public areas
- Complete graffiti removal and street weed control
- Undertake vegetation control to maintain public spaces
- Carry out play area inspections and report maintenance issues
- Operate mechanical sweeping equipment where required
- Support domestic waste and recycling collections when required
- Work safely and efficiently whilst delivering a high standard of environmental services
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid CPC qualification
- Must hold a valid Class 1 HGV Licence
- Must hold a full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Must have experience within street cleansing, environmental or grounds maintenance services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
