Experienced and professional HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver/Loader required to work with a leading and highly reputable organisation. My client requires an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver/Loader to join their waste and recycling team on a temporary ongoing contract. The role involves carrying out refuse collections across the Brentwood area as part of a busy operational team.
Location: Brentwood, CM13 3BH
Pay: £20.78 per hour (Paid weekly via umbrella)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm (37 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temporary ongoing
- Drive HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carry out domestic waste and recycling collections across scheduled routes
- Assist with loading refuse and recycling into the collection vehicle
- Ensure bins and receptacles are handled safely and returned appropriately
- Complete collections in a professional and timely manner
- Work as part of a team to maintain an efficient waste collection service
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Report any vehicle, equipment or collection issues to the relevant supervisor
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Must hold a valid CPC qualification
- Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous refuse, waste collection or HGV driving experience is desirable
- Must have a good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and comfortable assisting with refuse loading
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
