Site Manager - Night Shift Retail Fit Out Location: Stoke initially, then Bolton Working Hours: Sunday-Thursday nights Type: Freelance Duration: Ongoing Accommodation: Digs provided when required The Role We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a contractor delivering ongoing retail fit out projects for a major retailer. The initial project will be based in Stoke, before moving up to Bolton, with further projects to follow. Due to the contractor's long-term contract with the retailer, there is the potential for years of ongoing work for the right person. You will be responsible for managing the night shift on site, ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to the required standard. You will have a small team on site, including a Joiner and Labourer, and will be expected to lead the team effectively while being comfortable getting stuck in and helping out when required. Key Responsibilities Managing the night shift and overseeing day-to-day site activities Leading and coordinating the Joiner and Labourer on site Managing subcontractors and trades on site Ensuring works are completed safely and to programme Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics Completing site paperwork, reports and daily records Liaising with the wider project team Ensuring the site is left safe, clean and ready for the following shift About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous Site Management experience within retail fit out or shopfitting Strong understanding of working within live retail environments Experience managing trades and subcontractors Good organisational and communication skills A hands-on approach and willingness to muck in when required The ability to work independently on night shifts A strong focus on health & safety and quality Relevant Site Management qualifications such as SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS What's on Offer Ongoing freelance work Sunday-Thursday night shifts Initial work in Stoke, followed by Bolton Digs paid when required Long-term pipeline of retail projects Potential to remain busy for years due to the client's long-term retailer contract
