The business operates through a turnkey, design-and-build model, bringing design, engineering, procurement and construction together under one roof. The UK operation is headquartered in Birmingham, with teams across the UK. Its project portfolio includes large-scale industrial and logistics developments, alongside offices, schools and multi-storey car parks. The Role They are looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team on a permanent basis, based from their Birmingham head office. You will play a key role within the pre-construction team, pricing and developing tenders for large-scale commercial and industrial projects. Working closely with the design, procurement and project teams, you will be involved from the early stages of a project through to tender submission and handover. Key Responsibilities Preparing estimates and tenders for large-scale construction projects Reviewing drawings, specifications and design information Developing detailed project costs and pricing Preparing and managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries Analysing quotations and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers Building up costs across individual trade packages Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential value engineering Working closely with design and project teams to develop buildable and commercially competitive solutions Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and presentations Assisting with the handover of successful projects to the delivery team About You The ideal candidate will have experience estimating logistics, warehouse, distribution, industrial or similar large-scale construction projects. You will need a strong understanding of the key packages associated with these types of developments and be comfortable building up costs from drawings, specifications and design information. Experience pricing packages such as groundworks, steelwork, cladding, roofing, M&E, fit-out and external works would be particularly relevant. We're looking for someone commercially minded who understands how these projects are put together, can challenge costs where required and is confident dealing with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team
