Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative - MerseysideLocation: MerseysideSalary: Up to £31,000 depending on experienceJob Type: Permanent | Full-TimeReference: 009662Think Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to work across Merseyside for a leading property services and maintenance contractor.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of plumbing repairs and installations, while also supporting wider multi-trade maintenance works within occupied residential properties.
You will provide a professional, reliable service to residents, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, health and safety and achieving first-time fixes.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out plumbing repairs, including leak detection and hot and cold water systems. Work on immersion tanks and bathroom and kitchen installations.
Undertake multi-trade repairs including: Wall and floor tiling1st and 2nd fix carpentryPatch plastering and making goodPainting and decoratingComplete work records accurately using mobile/digital systems. Carry out risk assessments and follow Health & Safety procedures.
Work closely with supervisors, planners and other teams. Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
Support apprentices where required.
Participate in an out-of-hours or emergency callout rota when required.
RequirementsNVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, or equivalent.
Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification.
Previous experience working across multiple trades.
Experience in tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components.
Full UK driving licence.
Own, well-maintained tools.
Knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance is desirable.
Strong Health & Safety awareness.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
