We're currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable Council in the Basingstoke region for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Manager to join their Building services and maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dependable manager to secure consistent, full-time work delivering high-quality guidance to their team and providing a customer focused approach.
Location: Basingstoke and surrounding
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 07.30 - 15.30 (could differ slightly) Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Duration: Up to 6 months
Pay Rate: £40 - £43 per hour depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and motivating the Grounds Maintenance team
- Prioritising customer needs and requirements
- Coaching and developing staff
- Monitoring and tracking KPIs
- Use of in house computer system
Requirements:
- Experience managing a large Ground Maintenance team
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Horticulture or other relevant discipline (Level 2 min)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen to impact your team positively
- Full manual UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
