My client, one of the Midlands leading and highly reputable housing associations, requires an experienced and professional supply chain manager. They are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join their commercial team in their award-winning property care division.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of their supply chain covering construction and maintenance materials, external contractors, and waste disposal supply chain partners. You will be tasked with delivering value for money, product standardization, and efficient service.

You will need to be a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and have proven results-driven experience in supply chain management. This is a home-based role with travel required to their Worcester and Birmingham offices on occasion.

Salary: £39,468 per annum, plus 0.45p per mile.

Requirements:

  • Supply Chain Management qualification in construction or building materials
  • Strong knowledge of building materials in the housing or construction sector
  • Previous experience in supply chain management, with strong financial management particularly in budget preparation and monitoring
  • Good project management skills
  • Experience of customer consultation and understanding diverse needs across the business
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to have difficult conversations (with colleagues of all levels and customers) when needed whilst modelling our core values
  • Advanced IT skills: Outlook, Word, and Excel
