A Reputable Housing Association is looking for a Technical Maintenance Surveyor in the Stoke/Newcastle under Lyme Region.
Salary: £47,332.80 depending upon experience. Competitive + £2,140.80 car allowance or small van provided.
Hours: 37 per week. Contract: Permanent, full-time.

We're looking for an experienced Technical Maintenance Surveyor to play a key role in ensuring safe, well-maintained, and compliant homes across our housing stock. You'll conduct surveys, diagnose complex faults, manage repairs, and oversee contractor performance all while delivering great value and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out in-depth property surveys, diagnosing complex faults, and specifying remedial works.
- Undertaking inspections, preparing scopes of work (using Nat Fed 8 rates), and producing diagrams or drawings.
- Managing and monitoring contractor performance, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Conducting pre-termination and void property inspections, scheduling necessary repairs, and identifying any rechargeable works.
- Leading on Damp, Mould & Condensation inspections, providing compliant, practical solutions in line with AWAAB's Law.
- Working collaboratively across departments to drive efficiency and improve repair outcomes.
- Championing customer service excellence, ensuring customers are informed and engaged throughout the repairs process.
- Supporting compliance, health and safety, data protection, and safeguarding requirements across all works.
What we're looking for:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Building Studies, or extensive relevant experience.
- At least 2 years post-qualification experience in a social housing maintenance or surveying environment.
- Experience diagnosing building defects, specifying remedial works, and managing contractors.
- Strong understanding of health and safety, CDM regulations, asbestos management, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency with NHF Schedule of Rates, Microsoft Office, and housing maintenance IT systems.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
