What You’ll Drive

What are we looking for?
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in SEO strategy and implementation – experience improving organic traffic, keyword rankings, and content performance, ideally for mission‑driven organisations, charities, or small teams.
- Hands‑on experience with SEO tools – comfortable using platforms like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar.
- Strong understanding of on‑page optimisation – meta tags, keyword research, internal linking, content structuring, and best‑practice formatting.
- Technical SEO knowledge – experience with site audits, identifying crawl issues, improving page speed, mobile optimisation, and understanding how technical performance affects rankings.
- Content SEO skills – ability to work with writers or create optimised content themselves; understanding how to turn charity stories into search‑friendly impact pieces.
- Experience improving UX for SEO benefit – understanding how user behaviour, navigation, and site clarity affect search visibility and conversions.
- Ability to grow backlinks ethically – experience with relationship‑building, outreach, and securing relevant, high‑quality links, especially useful in the nonprofit space.
- Data‑driven decision‑making – can interpret analytics and turn insight into actionable improvements.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms – experience with WordPress or similar systems, including knowledge of plugins like Yoast or RankMath.
