Experienced Respondent Employment Lawyer with 5+ PQE. Flexible / Hybrid Working (1 day a week or 1 day a month in the office - no problem!) - No Fee Targets!

If you’re a respondent employment lawyer who enjoys good quality work, sensible clients and working with people who actually like what they do, this could be worth a look.

A growing specialist employment practice is looking to add an experienced lawyer to the team. The firm is led by two founders with big-firm pedigrees who have built something a little different: a high-quality respondent practice without the usual bureaucracy that can come with larger firms.

They act for a mix of national and regional employer clients across multiple sectors and are consistently winning and retaining work against much larger national practices. In short, the work is there and the phones are ringing.

The work:

  • Around 99% respondent employment work
  • A mix of tribunal litigation and day-to-day advisory support
  • Clients range from large nationals to established regional businesses
  • You’ll run your own caseload while also working closely with the founders and their key clients

The setup:

  • The firm is deliberately built to be flexible and grown-up about how people work.
  • Hybrid working that genuinely flexes around you — whether that’s one day a week in the office or one day a month
  • Flexible hours to fit around life outside work
  • No fee targets — the focus is doing good work and keeping clients happy
  • A friendly, collaborative team where personality matters and people actually enjoy working together

About you:

  • Around 5 years’ PQE or above in employment law
  • Comfortable running your own matters
  • Experience acting for employers/respondents
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team and getting to know clients

There is genuine scope to grow with the firm as it continues to expand. A following is not required, even for more senior candidates.
