A leading UK law firm is seeking a Practice Innovation Lead to drive legal innovation and technology adoption across its top-tier Corporate & Commercial Group. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of legal expertise, innovation, and change management—empowering lawyers to work more efficiently and deliver exceptional service to clients.
About the Role
This role sits within the firm's Innovation & Legal Technology team, part of its broader Innovation Group. You will act as a strategic partner to the Corporate & Commercial legal teams, helping to embed smarter working practices and legal technology into their day-to-day delivery. The focus is on driving efficiency, enhancing client outcomes, and fostering a culture of innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement & Relationship Building: Work closely with lawyers to understand their challenges and identify innovation opportunities. Develop tailored engagement plans and represent the innovation team in practice group meetings.
- Legal Tech Implementation: Identify, onboard, and embed legal technology tools relevant to the Corporate & Commercial practice, ensuring they align with business needs and deliver measurable value.
- Training & Adoption: Lead impactful training sessions, implement change strategies, and support adoption of tools and new workflows.
- Data & Reporting: Monitor tool usage and ROI, providing regular feedback and insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with other innovation team members and practice areas to share learnings and promote best practices.
About You
We’re looking for a legal professional or innovation specialist with:
- 6+ years' experience in Corporate or Commercial law, working within a national firm or relevant position in-house.
- A strong understanding of legal processes and workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for innovation.
- Experience with legal technology, change management, or project implementation in a legal or professional services environment is highly desirable.
