We are working with a highly regarded, fast-growing Manchester law firm to recruit an Employment Associate Solicitor into their acclaimed Employment team. The team is recognised by both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 and acts for an impressive client base that includes several household names in the hospitality sector, as well as businesses and individuals across a broad range of industries. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an ambitious solicitor looking to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that handles high-quality, complex work.

The Role

  • Advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters including discrimination, redundancy, disciplinary procedures, and employment contracts and policies.
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunals and mediations.
  • Negotiating settlement agreements.
  • Managing your own caseload proactively while supporting the wider team.
  • Contributing to business development through networking, speaking engagements, and practice growth initiatives.

The Candidate

  • We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Employment solicitor, ideally with 1–4 years' PQE, though candidates with broader experience are equally welcome.
  • A strong technical grounding in UK employment law with solid hands-on experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • An appetite for business development and contributing to the growth of the practice.
  • A collaborative, confident approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
